விடியல் ஓர் விளிம்பு,

அது

இரவின் அடக்கம்

பகலின் தொடக்கம்

பௌர்ணமி ஓர் விளிம்பு,

அதன்

வளர்ச்சியின் இறுதியில்

தேய்மானம் உறுதி

மேகம் ஓர் விளிம்பு,

அரும்பியது

வெந்திட்ட கடலுக்கும்

வந்துவிடும் மழைக்கிடையில்

அலை ஓர் விளிம்பு,

அது

மணற்கரைக்கு முன்பே

கடலில் நீர்க்கரை

நீர்க்குமிழி ஓர் விளிம்பு,

அங்கு

சிறையான காற்றுக்கு

விரைவில் விடுதலை

இசை ஓர் விளிம்பு,

அது

மௌனத்திற்கு பின்

வார்த்தைக்கு முன்

வாசல் ஓர் விளிம்பு,

அதன்

உள்ளே விலாசம்

வெளியே விசாலம்

நாணம் ஓர் விளிம்பு,

அங்கு

சபலத்தின் பெருக்கை

நாகரீகம் அணைக்கட்டும் 

துருதுருப்பு ஓர் விளிம்பு,

அமர்ந்திருக்கும்

அணலான அண்ணத்திற்கும்

அடங்காத பசிக்கிடையில்

அழுகை ஓர் விளிம்பு,

அத்தாட்சி

முயற்சி நின்றது

தோல்வி வென்றது

கண்ணீர், முத்தம், புன்னகை 

அனைத்துமே ஓர் விளிம்பு,

அவை

அளவில்லா உணர்வுகளின்

வார்த்தையில்லா பிள்ளையார்சுழிகள்

பாகுபாடு ஓர் விளிம்பு,

அதனால்

வெறுப்பு கரையேறியது

தீண்டாமையெனும் கறையானது 

தூது ஓர் விளிம்பு,

அது

போரை போக்க

அமைதி அமைய

தலைகுளியல் ஓர் விளிம்பு,

அங்கு

குழுமிய குழப்பம்

எழும் யோசனையாய்

மன்னிப்பு ஓர் விளிம்பு,

அப்பொழுது

தவறை ஏற்க

தற்கொலையாகும் தற்பெருமை

மரணம் ஓர் விளிம்பு,

அதனால்

நிகழ்வுகள் நிற்கும்

நினைவுகளில் மட்டும்

விளிம்பிலும் விளைச்சலுண்டு

விளம்பிட விழைகிறேன்:

மலையோ மடுவோ

கடலோ விண்வெளியோ

வாயடைய வைக்கும்

வாழ்க்கை தருணமோ

விளிம்புக்கு செல்லும்

எல்லா மனிதனுக்கும்

தானாய் தவறாமல்

ஞானம் வரும்.

Last night’s death

And this morn’s birth

The New Moon is on the edge

On the edge of

Its maximum waxing

And the start of it’s waning

The cloud is on the edge

One the edge of

The ocean boiling over

And coming down as shower

The waves are on the edge

One the edge of

The seas content

And the sandy beach’s extent

The beautiful bubble is on the edge

One the edge of

The glassy prison wall

And the air inside it all

The doorstep is on the step

One the edge of

The cozy indoors

And the vast outdoors

The coy smile of hers is on the edge

On the edge of

The uncontrollable desire

And the needed decent behavior

That cry is on the edge

On the edge of

Beaten effort

And the victory lost

That kiss or cry is on the edge

On the edge of

Uncontrollable emotions

And the beginning of new sensations

Discrimination is on the edge

On the edge of

Hate’s defeat

And slavery’s sealed fate

Diplomacy is on the edge

On the edge of

The war’s defeat

And Peace’s new date

The refreshing bath shower is on the edge

On the edge of

The dissolving last night’s confusion

And the new morning resolution

The apology is on the edge

On the edge of

Your ego’s suicide

For the wrongs that preceded

There’s light on the edge

Whether on the end of the mountain

Or the boundary of the ocean

Whether its a life’s challenge

Or death near the range

Whoever pushes themselves to the edge

There is light and enlightenment ...that’s life’s pledge
