Forgotten were all that was learnt

Lost forever are all the practiced art

Comprehension became tough

Understanding well not enough

The bones have grown tired

And the muscles atrophied

It doesn’t hurt that you forgot me

Sad you cant find yourself in the memory sea

Happy to see you still have that smile

And your loving hug goes a long mile

The banks of a river never part

But Dementia has torn us apart

A life long relationship severed

As the fish on a hook suffered

Lesson for me is  you are not lost in the wild

Losing the worldly deceits have turned you back into a child
