சந்திர கிரகணம்
ஒரே நிழல்
தரையில் இன்றி
தலைக்கீழாய்
தலைக்கு மேலே
தழைக்கும் நிழல்
சில மணி நேரமே
சிரிஷ்டித்த
சிகப்பு நிழல்
நிலா,
நிரந்தர
கறுப்பு வெள்ளையிலிருந்து
சில கணம்
வண்ணமயமானது
விந்தையே
முகம் சிவந்ததற்கு
நாணம் தான்
காரணம் என்றால்
வெள்ளை நிலாவை
கொள்ளை கொண்ட
கள்வன் எங்கே?
விதவை நிலா
ஊரை கூட்டி சிகப்பு
கூரைப் பட்டு
துணிந்து
அணிந்து ஏமாந்தது
தற்காலிக
தற்கொலை
அகோர கொலை
அநேகமாக
வானத்தில் எங்கோ
நிகழ்ந்திருக்க வேண்டும்
காய்ந்த நிலா
தோய்ந்தது தெறித்த
இரத்தத்தில்; ஆனால்
தடயத்தை
தடாலென
அழித்தது யார்?
நிலாவின்
குட்டு வெளிப்பட்டது
கும்மி இருட்டில்:
சுயமாய் இல்லாமல்
கடன் வாங்கி
உடன் தந்து
ஒளிர்வதை
ஒளித்து் வைக்க முடியவில்லை
இருப்பினும் இதில்
இருக்கிறது
ஒரு பாடம்:
தாக்குப் பிடிக்கும்
பக்குவம் இருந்தால்,
பொறுமை காக்கும்
அருமை அறிந்தால்
கவ்விய சூதும்
கடந்து போகும்

Eclipse - A shadow over the moon
—-----------------------------
A shadow that falls even in the dark
Not on land but on the sky so stark
Up above overhead, it grows to mark
Just for a few hours fiery red with no spark
The demure satellite blushes for a moment
Makes one wonder who was the suitor so potent
The renounced exchanged the monochrome habit for a party dress
Quite certain, the disappointment would have caused a momentary suicidal stress
Was the Prince murdered in vain
And the splattered blood caused the red stain?
Whatever happened one could be never certain
It is back to shiny glory without the shadow curtain
The moon’s bluff has been called for sure right
It has only been shiny with the stolen light
And this does teach a lesson so bright -
If you can handle eclipses of misfortune
With maturity and patience to bring to the tune
You will always be a winner like the bright moon.
