நிரந்தர நித்திரை
கடைசி யாத்திரை
தொடங்கும் கொடூர
தருணம், மரணம்
மரணம், நம்
வாழ்க்கையின்
கடைசி இலக்கு,
ஏனோஇல்லை
இதற்கு விதிவிலக்கு
தீர்மானமாய் கூறலாம்
தீர்க்க இயலாத
தீர்வே இல்லாத
பிரச்சனை, மரணம்
கற்றதை வைத்து
பற்றுதலை கொண்டு
கொள்ளி இடுவதை
தள்ளிப் போடலாம்,
வெல்ல முடியாது
தவிர்க்கவே
முடியாதது தான்
இறப்பு,
இருப்பினும்
தவிக்காமல் இருக்க
முடியவில்லையே
அவிழ்ந்துவிட்ட மொட்டு
விழுந்துவிட்ட அருவி
விடிந்துவிட்ட விடியல்
படிந்துவிட்ட பனி
ஆகியவைப்போல
மடிந்துவிட்ட உயிர்
முடிந்துவிட்ட விசயம்
விரும்பியே வியாப்பித்தாலும்
திரும்ப கிடைக்காது
இடைவிடாது துடிக்கும்
வேலையிலிருந்து இதயம்
ஓய்வு பெறும்
வேளை, மரணம்
ஒரே ஒரு
முறை மட்டும்
தன் பணியில்
தவறிய இதயத்தைத்தான்
'தவறிவிட்டார்' என்கிறோமோ?
துடிக்காத இதயத்திற்காக
துடிதுடித்து போனோமே
இரவலாகவாது துடிக்க
அவலத்திலும் ஆவலானோமே
பிறந்த போது
பிறரிடம் கேட்டு
பெறவே
நாம் மட்டும்
அழுகிறோம்,
இறந்த போதோ
பிரிந்து சென்றவர்க்கு
கேட்காது என்றாலும்
மற்றவர் யாவரும்
அழுகிறோம்
இறந்த பின்னர்
சென்றவரைப் பற்றி
செம்மையானதை எல்லாம்
சொல்லுகின்ற நாம்,
உள்ள போது
உரியவரிடமே ஏனதை
உரைக்க மறுக்கிறோம்?
உரைக்க மறக்கிறோம்?
உரைப்பதை குறைக்கிறோம்?
கடைசியாக பிரியா
விடைக் கொடுப்பினும்
விடை மட்டும்
கிடைக்காத கேள்வி
மரணம் என்று
பதறாதே, ஏனெனில்
பதில், எய்தும்
முன்னுள்ள வாழ்க்கையில்
புதைந்து உள்ளது
சொந்தம் பந்தம்
சொத்து சுகம்
கற்ற வித்தை
பெற்ற சிந்தனை
எதையும் உன்னால்
சிதைக்குப் பின்னால்
கூடவே உன்னோடு
கொணரவும் இயலாது
உணரவும் முடியாது
மாளப்போவதால் இவைகளை
ஆளவும் ஆகாது
மரணம் என்றாவது
வரும் என்றுணரும்
வரம் மனிதனுக்குண்டு,
எனவே நீயும்
இறப்பின் கொடுமையை
இருக்கும் பொழுதே
நிவர்த்தி செய்
மக்கத்தான் போகிறோம் மக்கு
துக்கத்தை துரத்து,
அச்சதை வெந்தே தீரும்
அச்சத்தை அகற்று.
கள்ள தனத்தை
கொல்லி போடு,
கோபம் வேற்றுமையை
அடக்கம் இடு,
காழ்ப்புணர்ச்சி, பகையை
காவு கொடு,
சாபம், கேடுகளை
சாக விடு
அன்பை மட்டும்
அள்ளிக் கொடு,
கற்றதை எல்லாம்
சொல்லிக் கொடு,
முடிந்ததை முயன்று
முடித்து விடு,
செல்வத்தை அளவாகவும்
ஞாபங்களை அதிகமாகவும்
சேர்த்து விடு,
மற்றவை யாவையும்
பகிர்ந்து கொடு,
குடும்பத்தார்க்கும், நண்பர்களுக்கும்
பணத்தை விட
நேரத்தை செலவிடு,
இயற்கையைப் பார்த்து
வியந்து விடு
மீதமேதும் வைக்காமல் மட்டும்
வாழ்ந்து விடு.

A wakeup you cannot earn
Death starts these games
No exception to any names
It is life’s conclusion
Nobody gets an exception
An old issue with no resolution
Everybody fails in this mission
Knowledge can delay
Money can keep it at bay
Putting fire to the pyre
Will always come to transpire
It is the inevitable
Fretting over it still unavoidable -
A flower that has blossomed
A waterfall that has flowed
A snow that has fallen
A life stopped sudden
All beautiful things come to an end
Neither will nor desire can turn back this trend
The heart beats with no pause
And when it skips death is the cause
You clamor for a better heart to borrow
There is no resolution to this sorrow
A newborn cries for attention
The bereaved cry with no intention
For the dead we are generous with eulogy
When they are alive our appreciation is stingy
So scanty is our love
Warmth hidden in a glove
Death is a farewell forced
A question, always unanswered
Friends or loved ones will not join this journey
Your wealth, wisdom or skills cannot accompany
Do not fret, fuss or be in pain
It is all in vain
You are wise to realize death is inevitable
When you are alive realize sorrow is avoidable
You are going to turn into dust
Understand that just
Be fearless, Be happy
Put your dishonesty to the fire
Send bias and hatred to the pyre
Let jealousy and enmity be sacrificed
Bid ill will and wrongdoing to the death bed
Be honest, Be happy
Love a lot
Teach what you were taught
Finish what you are capable
Save wealth that is equitable
And amass memories sizeable
Be generous, Be happy
Share everything else with family and friends
More than money spending time makes sense
Wonder at the beauty of nature
Live a full life to a rapture
Be alive, Be happy
