உலாவி நிலா
ஒளி விழா நடத்துவதை
விளாவாரியாக விவரிக்க
அளவில்லா ஆர்வம்..
விழி வழியே வந்து உள்ளே
விழுந்துதையெல்லாம்
மொழிபெயர்க்க
விழைகிறேன், ஆயினும்
முழிக்கிறேன்

உன்
கறை மீது எனக்கு
அக்கறை இல்லை
வெள்ளை மீதம் மட்டில்
கொள்ளை ஆசை

நீ
கிட்ட வந்திட்ட
வட்ட நட்சத்திரம்
தள்ளி சென்றிட்ட
வெள்ளை சித்திரம்

நீ
இரவு தன்
கரிய கூந்தலில்
தெரியுமாறு வைத்து
கொண்ட
வெண்கொண்டை

நீ

விண்வெளியில்,

விளையாட்டின்

தொடக்கத்தின் போது

சுண்டி விட்ட

ஒண்டி காசு

நீ
இறுக்கி முடிந்த 
இருட்டு கூந்தலில் 
பொருந்த வைத்த 
திருகு பில்லை 

நீ
பூமி சட்டையிலிருந்து
வெம்பி தெறித்த
ஒத்தை பொத்தான்

நீ
அதிசிய துளியாய்
அவதரித்து
கருப்பு கடலில்
கருவுற்று
சிப்பியில் இருந்து
தப்பிய முத்து

சூரிய வெப்பத்தின்
வீரியத்தை குறைத்தாய்..
குளுமையை மட்டும்
குறையாமல் கொடுத்தாய்..
ஒளியின் தண்மையை
ஒளிக்காமல் பிரதிபலித்தாய்..
கடுமையை கழித்து
கள்ளதை களைந்து
நல்லதை நாசூக்காய்
நல்கும் சூசகமென்ன?
உன்னிடம் இருந்து
மானிட வர்க்கம்
இனியாவது கற்றிடவேண்டும்

I miserably fail to translate that vision into words nice

That riot of light while you walk the night skies

A million thoughts run through my minds eyes

But nary a word can I find that matches the beauty that vies

You, might have blemishes in your countenance

But that milky color is my romantic penance

You are a big round star so close and tempting

But when far away an enigmatic white painting

You, are a nice white flower worn

On that damsel, called Night’s, dark evening gown

You, are a silver coin tossed up in the air

That starts a celestial match in the sky so fair

You are the lonely diamond in the tiara

That contrast the lady’s dark mascara

You, are a bright button that flew away to the sky

When the earth changed its shirt for the night shy

You are a  drop of magic in an ocean deep and dark

That in an oysters’ womb turned into a pearl white and stark

You reduced the sun’s harshness

Showered on your coolness

Reflected well that brightness

Oh, Is this a message to humanity?

Should all of us follow that with alacrity?

Choose the kind words for the harsh ones

Share it all with gentle eloquence.
