The water does part but like the river banks stay together
May not reach the sky, but shine like a moon and never leave brother

Not bright as the sun, but wait for the turn and glitter like a star
Uninvited you might be, but like a rain pour and nurture life from far

Be of different color but stay together and make a rainbow tall
About to fall to death but be powerful like a waterfall

Even when plucked, like a rose make those hands smell in class
Trampled upon to death but grow again like the perseverant grass

Blistering heat, but be a strong tree and provide shade in fairness to all
Even when cut, but like a forgiving maple tree ooze sweetness without call

Steal the honey but like a diligent bee spread the pollen
Rival your siblings but like the flute keys make music in unison

No time to watch ? No time to listen ?
Pause, say this to your belle or beau
Nature has a lesson for you.

பச்சை எங்குமே

நிச்சயமாய் இல்லை,

கருவேல மரங்களின் 

ஊர்வலம் மட்டுமே

கண்ணில் தென்பட்டது

கார் மேகங்களை 

யார் ஒருவரும்

பார்க்கவில்லை;

வேகமாக கலைந்த

மேகத்திற்கும் துளியும்

ஈரமில்லை;

தானாக தோன்றும்

கானல் நீரைக்கூட

காணவில்லை;

கண்ணுக்கு எட்டியவரை

தண்ணீர் ஊர்தியும்

தென்படவில்லை

வானம் பார்த்த

பூமி போய்

தண்ணீர் கொணரும்

வாகனம் பார்த்த 

பூமி ஆனோம்

காணாமல் போன

ஏதுவாய் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள

முன்னேற்றம், மேம்பாடு, சொகுசு

என்ற நாகரீக நிர்பந்தத்தால்

அதீதமாக புவி சூடான

அநீதியில் மேலை நாடுகளுக்கு 

அதிக பங்கு உண்டு;

நியாயம், இழப்பீடு அவர்கள் 

நிச்சயம் தர வேண்டும்;

இருப்பினும், அவர்களின் தவறுகளை 

திரும்பவும் வளரும் நாடுகள்

மணல் வாருவோம்,

கொள்ளையடிக்க அல்ல;

நதிகளின் நடுவே

அணைகளை கட்டுவோம்

அனைவருக்கும் பயன்பட,

அபகரிக்க அல்ல

நூறு வருடங்களானாலும்

ஆறுகளை இணனப்போம்,

தானாக கடலில் 

வீணாவதை தடுக்க

நிலத்தடி நீரை

பலப்படுத்துவோம்;

விழுந்த மழைநீர் 

பாழாகாமல் இருக்க

I’d rather be a flag than a kite
Both fly high and bright
But I stand for one -
And would like to be a flag in your sight

But I dont wanna be tied down -
So would be a bubble all around and blown

I’d rather be a flute than a bubble
Both release the wind in them
But I want to make music -
Hence would like to be a flute and be in sync

I’d rather be a face than flute
Both of their eyes are full of emotions
But I am more intelligent
Thus wanna be a face with a brain behind

I’d rather be a moon than a face
Both can be bright
But I am fair and just
Therefore I would be a moon and to all I shed light

No surprise you know it after you see it 

But we feel it first and then we can see it 

Isn’t our understanding more deliberate ?

Unfortunately we cannot see the colors of the rainbow

But visual appeal  does not color our opinions 

Isn’t our opinions more unbiased ?

True we lack one of the five senses

But we go by the rest of the four 

Isn’t our perception more complete ?

We have eyes no sight

But our eyes are never green with envy

Isn’t our vision less clouded ?

Pity that you proudly proclaim love is blind

But that we fell in without seeing

Isn’t our love purer ? 

Youth is appealing to the eye

But our love is unaffected by the age

Isn’t our love more timeless ?

Stumped are you by the darkness that shrouds reality

But unaffected are we by the lack of light

Isn’t our handicaps much lesser ?

Different from reality is your dreams 

But we watch our dreams and reality in the same way

Isn’t our views more consistent ?

A sincere appeal  - dont look and jump to conclusions blindly

Dead it might be

Still beautiful to the eyes to behold

It is the story of the pearl well told

Even dropped down to the sea

It is the anchor that had the hold

That should be a lesson in the cold

Buried and pushed 

Rise above solid ground

Like the sprouting seed and be found

Dried up in the sun and free

Like the leaves in the soil that fold

Be useful and help sprout again from seed

Hidden and unseen

Feed the plant with water and food

You are the root that does good

Trapped inside and trying to be free

Still make music like the wind in the flute

And make merry out of the misery in the chute

Just don't kill time

While away in dreams big and grand too

For one day one of them will become true

Forced to bend

Be like the rainbow bright and evanescent

And let the ignominy vanish without any dissent

Forced and put to the fire 

Glow like the candle bright

And share with the world your light

Lost and floating wayward

Be composed like the bubble in the air

And spread cheer to all those near and fair

Tied and pulled

Dance like the kite in the wind

And stay happy and cheerful in the mind

Lost battles and challenging war

Stay calm and keep moving forward

Problems and challenges are the way of life

Accept and handle, it is not really a strife

Every human has weaknesses

Be not discouraged and lose heart

Lower their impact every moment and get a head start

Stumped for an answer

Do good with whatever in hand

And mine the gold from the sand

Faced with distress

Have heart there is always hope and chance

Even the driest of desert has an oasis in its expanse

Misery or Penury 

There is some learning in the stride

You will come out winning on the other side
