காளை,
உழைக்க எழுந்தால்
பிழைக்க முடியும்

ஒலி
ஒளி,
புலன் இரண்டு
பலன் பெறும்

தோல்
தோள்,
காப்பாற்றும் வேலையில்
ஒப்பற்ற துணை

உரை
உறை,
உள்ளே வைத்து
உள்ளதை பற்றி

போலி
போளி,
உண்மை நிலையறிய
கண்கள் பத்தாது

கரை
கறை,
வேறுப்பட்டவை பற்றி

மூளை
மூலை,

விதைப் போல

பதைக்காமல் வெளிவர வேண்டும்

சரிந்திடும் போதிலும் 

சருகைப் போல

எருவாகி பயன்பட வேண்டும்

யார் அறியாவிடினும்

வேர் போல

நீர் தந்திட வேண்டும் 

நிலைக் குலைந்தாலும்

குலைவாழைப் போல

தலைக் குனிய வேண்டும் 

புழுங்கி தவித்தாலும்

குழல்காற்றுப் போல

உழன்று இசையாக வேண்டும் 

வீணாக்க நேரிட்டாலும்

கனாக்களைப் போல

கணக்கில்லாமல் கரைத்திட வேண்டும்

கூன் வீழ்ந்திடினும்

வானவில் போல

ஆனவுடன் மறைய வேண்டும்

நிர்பந்தத்தால் மடிந்திடினும்

கற்பூரம் போல

முற்றிலும் உருமாற வேண்டும்

வழி தவறினாலும் 

குமிழி போல

மகிழ்வதை தொடர்ந்திட வேண்டும் 

கட்டுப்பாட்டில் இருந்தாலும் 

பட்டம் போல

ஆட்டம் போட வேண்டும்

சீமையே தொலைந்தாலும்

ஆமைப் போல

அமைதி காத்திட வேண்டும் 

வன்மையே கலந்திருப்பினும்

அன்னம் போல

உன்னதத்தை பிரித்தெடுக்க வேண்டும் 

இன்னல் இக்கட்டு

என்றும் இருக்கும் 

என்பதை ஒப்புக்கொள்ள வேண்டும்

குறைகளின் வீரியத்தை

குறைக்க இயன்ற

வரை முயன்றிட வேண்டும் 

கிடைத்ததை கொண்டு

விடையைக் விடாமல்

கடைந்து எடுத்திட வேண்டும் 

கஷ்டத்திலும் நல்லது

நிச்சயம் சொட்டாவது

மிச்சமுள்ளதை உணர்ந்திட வேண்டும்

வன்மையிலும் ஒரு

நன்மையை திரித்தெடுக்கும்

தன்மையை கற்றிட வேண்டும்

The Brighter Side

Dead it might be

Still beautiful to the eyes to behold

It is the story of the pearl well told

Even dropped down to the sea

It is the anchor that had the hold

That should be a lesson in the cold

Buried and pushed 

Rise above solid ground

Like the sprouting seed and be found

Dried up in the sun and free

Like the leaves in the soil that fold

Be useful and help sprout again from seed

Hidden and unseen

Feed the plant with water and food

You are the root that does good

Trapped inside and trying to be free

Still make music like the wind in the flute

And make merry out of the misery in the chute

Just don't kill time

While away in dreams big and grand too

For one day one of them will become true

Forced to bend

Be like the rainbow bright and evanescent

And let the ignominy vanish without any dissent

Forced and put to the fire 

Glow like the candle bright

And share with the world your light

Lost and floating wayward

Be composed like the bubble in the air

And spread cheer to all those near and fair

Tied and pulled

Dance like the kite in the wind

And stay happy and cheerful in the mind

Lost battles and challenging war

Stay calm and keep moving forward

Like the perseverant turtle in the current onward

Violence all around you

Stay clear and free from oil like water

Encourage peace and let the vile shatter

Life is not a bed of roses

Problems and challenges are the way of life

Accept and handle, it is not really a strife

Every human has weaknesses

Be not discouraged and lose heart

Lower their impact every moment and get a head start

Stumped for an answer

Do good with whatever in hand

And mine the gold from the sand

Faced with distress

Have heart there is always hope and chance

Even the driest of desert has an oasis in its expanse

Misery or Penury 

There is some learning in the stride

You will come out winning on the other side

பாலியில் கொடுமை

பாலியில் கொடுமை

பசி தான் என்றாலும்

பிறர் உணவை

பறித்தலை,

அவர் அனுமதியின்றி

அபகரித்தலை,

திருட்டு என்று

எடுப்பவரை தானே

சாடுகிறோம்,

ஆனால்,

பாலியல் விவகாரத்தில்

பலத்காரமாய்

தீண்டிய ஆணை

தண்டிக்காமல், மானத்தை

இழந்த பெண்ணையேன்

இழிக்கிறோம்?

தொட்டுவிட்ட

குட்டு வெளிப்பட்டதும்

பொட்டிப் பாம்பாய் ஆணின்

கொட்டமடங்கினாலும்

பட்ட துன்பம்

எட்டிப் பார்த்து

ஈட்டியாய் பாய்ந்து

வாட்டி வதைப்பது

பெண்ணை மட்டுமே!

எப்போதோ நடந்ததற்கு

இப்போது ஏன்

சர்ச்சை என

சப்பைக் கட்டும்

தப்பை என்னால்

ஒப்புக்கொள்ள இயலாது;

காலம் தாழ்ந்து வந்த

வெற்றிகளையும்

வெகுமதிகளையும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள

வெட்கப்படுகிறோமா?

வெறுக்கிறோமா?

பாலியல் தொல்லை

காயமாற நெடுங்

காலம் ஆகலாம்,

உள் காயத்தால்

உள்ளம் காயமானதால்

எழுந்த

தழும்பு மட்டும்

காலமாகாது

கொண்ட கொடுமையை

கொட்டி தீர்க்க

தட்டி கேட்க

சிலருக்கு

சில நாழிகைகளும்

பலருக்கு

பல வருடங்களும்

ஆகலாம்,

ஆனாலும் அதை

சொல்லும் தருணத்தை

நிர்ணயிக்கும் உரிமை

நிந்திக்கப்பட்டவர்களுடையது

துரிதமாய் சொன்னால்

உரிதான நடவடிக்கையை

உடனேவா

எடுத்துவிடப் போகிறோம்?

அடக்கமாய் இல்லாதது

எடுப்பாய் உடையணிந்தது

துடிப்பாய் பேசியது

வடிவாய் இருந்தது

பெண்ணின் தவறென்றும்,

ஆசைகளை அடக்கி

ஆள தெரியாத அப்பாவிகள்

ஆண்களென அவர்களுக்கு

வக்காளத்து வாங்கும்

வக்கீலாய் தானே

வந்திருப்போம்?

பாலியல் புரிந்தவரின்

புகழ், பெயர்

பதவி, பணம்

அந்தஸ்து, அதிகாரம்

சீறி வரும்

பெரும் புயல்,

அதற்கு

சரிசமமாக நின்று

சரியும் சருகு

எதிர் கொள்ளாதது

எதிர்ப்பார்த்தது தானே?

புகார்கள் ஒன்றும்

புதிரல்ல,

நம்ம மகள் சொன்னால்

நம்ப மறுப்போமா?

வேண்டியவள் என்றால்

வேடிக்கை பார்ப்போமா?

அருவருக்கத்தக்க பழக்கம்

அவர்களின்

அனுமதியின்றி கொள்ளும்

அணுகுமுறை தான்

அனு அனுவாய்

அவர்களை

சித்திரவதை செய்கிறது

பலவீனத்தை

பயன்படுத்தி

பலவந்தமாய்

பாலியல் பாவத்தை

புரிந்தவன்

பலசாலியல்ல;

வலிய வந்து

வலியை தந்து

வலிமையை காட்டி

வலையை விரிக்கும்

வஞ்சகசாலி

பாலியில் தொல்லைகளை

கண்மூடித்தனமாக செய்வதற்கும்

கண்டுக்கொள்ளாமல் மற்றவர்கள்

கை கழுவதற்கும்

ஆணிவேராய் இருப்பது

மரணத்தின் மேலேன் பயம் வரணும்?

அழையாமலே வந்த 

மழைப் போல்

தன்னாலே தழுவிய

தென்றலைப் போல் 

அறிவிக்காமலே விழுந்த

அருவியைப் போல்

கனநொடியில் கருவுற்ற

கனவைப் போல்

கையேந்தியவர்களை தவிர்க்கும்

கண்களைப் போல்

பின்னலிட்டு மறைந்த

மின்னல் போல்

நொடியில் நேரும்

மடியும் நேரம்,

தானாய் வரும்

சாகும் தருணம்

ஒருநாள் மரணம்

வருவது நிச்சயம்,

இறுதிமூச்சு என்பது

உறுதியென உணர்ந்தால்,

ஒற்றை நொடியில்

பற்றுதல் பறந்தோடும்,

இந்த உண்மையில்

எந்த சந்தேகமில்லை

இருப்பினும் எதற்கு 

இறப்பில் அச்சம்?

ஆயினும் மரணத்திலேன்

ஆனமட்டும் ஆதங்கம்?

நடப்புக்கு பின்

நடக்கப் போகும்

எதையும் அறியாமல்

சிதையில் புதைவதை,

சுகம் துக்கம்

அகம் அறியாததை,

சொந்த பந்தம்

செழிப்பதை காண

வழி இல்லாத்தை,

என்னை பற்றிய

புகழ் இகழ்

வாதம் பேதம்

எதிலும் ஒரு

போதிலும் செலுத்த 

இயலாது தாக்கம்

இறப்பினால் என்பதை,

எதையும் இனிமேல்

என்னால் உணரமுடியாததை,

மரணம் தருமென்பதை

உணர்ந்த உடன்

சண்டை வேண்டும்,

ஊடல் என்றால்

மட்டும்

மருந்து வேண்டும்,

அம்மா தந்தால்

மட்டும்

மழை வேண்டும்,

வானவில் வந்தால்

மட்டும் 

வலி வேண்டும்,

உன் பிரிவால்

மட்டும்

புதைய வேண்டும்,

அவளின் மடியில்

மட்டும்

மடிய வேண்டும்,

என் கோபம்

மட்டும் 

பின்னடைய வேண்டும்,

முன்னேறிடும் மகளிடம்

மட்டும் 

கண்மூட வேண்டும்,

மல்லிகையை முகற

மட்டும் 

சுரண்ட வேண்டும்,

அடிவண்டல் உணவை

Love to see it die
If it just was my temper

Love to fall behind
If only it were my children getting ahead

Love to close my eyes
If it just were to smell the roses

Love to eat the crumbs
If only it were from the cookies

Love to lose
If it just were in a game with my child

Love to lose myself
If only it were in those green woods

Love to hide
If it just were the charity I did

கவலை இல்லை

தானத்தில்,

எல்லை இல்லா

வானத்தில்,

நிழலில்,

நாதம் தரும்

குழலில்,

கவலை இல்லை

குமுழியில்,

கன்னத்தில் விழும்

குழியில்,

கவலை இல்லை

தாலாட்டலில்,

நயமான நாயின்

வாலாட்டலில்,

கவலை இல்லை

தென்றலில்,

பூவாசம் கடந்து

சென்றதில்,

கவலை இல்லை

தழுவலில்,

கையில் நுங்கின்

நழுவலில்,

கவலை இல்லை

அயர்ந்ததில்,

பிள்ளைகள் நம்மைவிட

உயர்ந்ததில்,

And he gentle music of the flute is soothing

Worries are gone

That floating bubble is so fascinating

And the dimple in the cheeks charming

Worries are gone

The warming lullaby of the new mother

And the love of the tail-wagging pet is dearer

Worries are gone

The breeze so soft and vibrant

And the smell of the garden so fragrant

Worries are gone

The embrace so gentle and warm

And juices of the apple on my arm

Worries are gone

Unwinding and enjoying the retirement

And the progenies topping parent’s accomplishment

Worries are gone

The whiteness of the snow so cute

And in the joy of tasting a ripe fruit

Worries are gone

The majesty of the steady rain 

And dew drop on the tongue like champagne

The rollicking wave on the shore

கலங்கிய கடலில்

நலிந்த வேளையில்

நம்பிக்கை தருவது
